The Eagle Creek Village site has seen lots of activity over the past couple of months and we would like to share some of these recent developments with you. Concrete and reinforcing work has continued for the parkade under Retail Buildings (2, 6, 8) and under the Office Building (see Building 7 on our Retail page). Walls are being damp proofed and drain tile is being installed ahead of backfill which is working its way around the parkade. Some areas of the site are still being prepared by crushing rock, excavating, backfilling for concrete foundations and installation of underground services. Mechanical and electrical services are still performing work related to underground services and concrete rough in. The Watkiss entrance has been rough graded and is now available to open for site access.
Omicron Construction Ltd. has continued with bulk excavation, concrete, reinforcing, and underground utilities. Key activities completed in September included:
- Completion of 95% of bulk blasting work.
- Removed 95% of topsoil and clay on site, stockpiling of some material to be used for landscaping purposes.
- Construction of the rock wall near Quality Foods continued.
- The first loads of steel for Retail Building 8 have been delivered to site.
